Muir Wood Montessori Learning center offers an early childcare program for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners. We have a mixed age group where kids work together, learn to be patient, share responsibilities, and develop leadership qualities.
Curriculum
We follow the Montessori method of education. Our classroom is a prepared environment for the age range and also focuses on a child’s academic, social-emotional, and physical development.
Arts and Creativity
Arts, Crafts & DIYs promote children to use their imagination, creativity, and expression. It offers children a chance to learn and grow in a fun and creative environment.
Language
Language is the foundation for most learning. At our pre-school we encourage children to start using sounds, symbols, recognize the names of objects, and pre-writing.
Practical life sciences
Children are natural-born scientists. Every time they play with water, build with blocks, or ask “what,” “how,” or “why,” they are trying to make sense of their surroundings. We provide a conducive environment to develop the foundation of science.
Mathematics
We introduce the children to foundations of Mathematics with help of number rods, sandpaper numerals, object cards, counters and other fun ways.
Science
We expose children to fundamental concepts like elements of earth, categorizing living & non-living things, plants and animals, and many more elementary scientific concepts.
Cultural Studies
The Montessori curriculum provides children with an opportunity to explore the larger world. As part of a rich exploration of the different cultures of the world, students learn about the people, terrain and animals of each continent.
Health and Safety
Watching Over Little Ones
Toddlers and 2-year-olds receive a primary caregiver that collaborates with families to ensure a close relationship and consistent care.
Sleeping Safely
During naps, the lights are never turned off. To ensure nap time safety, children sleep on their backs with age-appropriate bedding.
Food
Food is prepared on-premises, in our kitchen. We make sure to adhere to the highest sanitary and hygiene standards. We serve nutritious, healthy food, diverse in ingredients and flavors to ensure kids are eating a balanced diet everyday.
